Cammie Dunaway, Author - CEO Advisor

"Designing a Job That Fits: Engaging Minds, Hearts, and Spirits at Work"
Does it surprise you to hear that research shows only 30 percent of American workers say they “strongly agree” they have a chance to contribute what they’re best at doing? Probably not. As HR professionals and leaders, we see examples virtually every day that employees want more than just good pay and benefits to be fully engaged at work. Fit does matter.
This presentation will give you tools to feel more confident in guiding potential and current employees to make more satisfying and sustainable career choices. In this session, you can expect to:
-Learn the six essential elements of job- and cultural-fit
-Access powerful questions to better understand work needs
-Understand how to plot a course toward (even) more engagement at work
Co-author of “Fit Matters”, Cammie is passionate about offering practical, hands-on ways to explore what could happen for all of us--and for the world--if more people actually loved their jobs. Throughout her career as a sales and marketing executive for companies such as Frito Lay, Yahoo!, and Nintendo, Cammie earned a stellar reputation as a brand-builder with an impressive list of corporate and start-up successes.
Two years into a prestigious position as Senior VP of Sales and Marketing of a major entertainment company, Cammie realized that while this job appeared on the surface to be everything she could ask for, it was not truly a good soul-fit. She walked away while at the top of her game—and wrote a book to share what she wishes she’d known earlier. Today she shares some of those key nuggets.
Cammie been featured and quoted in publications such as The New Yorker, USA Today, and Forbes; and is a frequent speaker at organizations such as Stanford, Levis, General Mills, and LinkedIn. Her MBA is from Harvard Business School.
